Good morning Pulaski County,
US National Weather Service Jackson Kentucky and the Storm Prediction NOAA NWS Weather Prediction Center have not changed their prediction models over the last several hours. Right now, they are stating that Pulaski County remains outside of the severe weather threat, with most of the weather pushing off to the north and east of the county. Currently, they are forecasting:
• There is a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe storms Saturday NORTH of the Hal Rogers Pkwy, except over far northeast KY where there is a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5).
• WHETHER THESE STORMS BECOME SEVERE DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH DAYTIME HEATING WE GET.
• Any severe storm would primarily pose a risk for damaging wind gusts.
• Outside of thunderstorms, winds could gust as high as 20 to 25 mph from the late morning through the afternoon.
Pulaski County OEM will continue to watch this front as it approaches. Rain is likely starting around noon and lasting the balance of the day. Please stay weather aware, and keep your phones/radios, and apps handy as information could move fast. Stay safe out there.

Pulaski County Fire Coordinator
Pulaski County Fire Commission formed in 1981 and is located on a 14 acre tack of land with a training facility and 4 other buildings. The Commission is comprised of 16 local departments, 10 substations, 2 Rescue Squad stations and a Special Response Team/Hazmat.

Pulaski county local Hazardous Materials Team. We serve Pulaski county and we also host the KY EM RRT Haz-Mat area 12 and several surrounding counties. Our membership is made up of emergency responders from Pulaski and surrounding counties.
